About Us
S&H Docks and Lifts is a company that sells, services, and manufactures docks, boat lifts, and marine rails for clients in Manitoba’s cottage country. The company has been in business for over 30 years, and was started after the Manitoba government flooded the region when they started their dam projects. That flooding spurred demand for a removable dock system, and S&H was created to meet that need. In recent years, under the leadership of owner Marc Bilodeau, the company has experienced a surge in growth, powered by their investment in new technologies and innovation.
In 2018, Marc and his wife Nicole, who had a career working with the community’s senior population, decided to start on a new path. They pulled up roots and relocated where they live now, on the edge of the Canadian Shield in beautiful Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, the heart of cottage country. Numerous rivers and lakes, provincial parks and proximity to Winnipeg make Lac du Bonnet a prime location for S&H’s product and services.
Marc and his wife Nicole took over S&H in 2019. Prior to that, Marc was in steel fabrication, working through two apprenticeships – industrial welding and industrial mechanics.
When the couple took over the company, it was in its primal state of technology,” says Marc. “We’ve evolved into a manufacturing business using newer technology. Instead of welding structural shapes together, our components are manufactured using CNC controlled lasers and brakes and robotics. All our docks are now manufactured using engineered interlocking weld joints.”
This system has been perfected over the years, and Marc is proud to say this patent pending system is through examination and they almost have a full patent on their product.
We look forward to working with you!

We contacted S & H docks as new waterfront cabin owners in need of repair and extensions to our existing dock. Our experience with them was nothing short of perfect. Their expertise was evident from the start. Marc was patient and responsive with all my questions and Lucas took the time onsite with us to talk through options and get a thorough understanding of what we wanted. The process was seamless and the dock was installed as intended and on time. We are so excited to have this amazing addition to our cabin and enjoy it for many years to come. I would recommend S & H over and over again. Thank you so much!

I have been dealing with this business for several years for lifts and seasonal service. I have always been very impressed with their professionalism and service. This year they installed my new shore master PWC lift that was tough to place due to my wonky shoreline. But they persevered and got it er done! Special shout out to Gord Wilson who provided excellent advice and got the job done. Also would highly recommend their vertical fenders which really work well. Another good suggestion by Gord. Even though they were swamped they finished everything in one day and would not leave until I was completely satisfied. The crew (Ken ,Keith and Shane) were awesome. I will stick with s and h docks. I have seen the work some of their competitors do and it pales in comparison. Thanks again Marc and company!
